These two smaller areas lie to the North of Newquay, situated right on the Coast path. Watergate Bay is a small collection of houses, apartments and hotels right on the coast a mile or so north of Porth. Consisting mostly of holiday and second homes, Watergate Bay is an extremely popular destination with direct access onto an amazing dog friendly beach stretching for miles. Mawgan Porth is a large coastal area just on from Watergate Bay on the Padstow Coast Road and consists of an extremely popular beach surrounded by a range of beach businesses and high-end luxury homes.
